4th Period - Wednesday, April 7, 2010
READ THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY. Be specific in your explanations, proving you read the assigned chapters from the book and giving quotations with page numbers. Agenda:
Predictions: At Rupert’s party, the remaining guests perform, in essence, a séance using a modern day version of the Ouija board. Different messages come off the board, and many questions are created because of it. Under each of the following headings, give three predictions for each, explaining what importance they hold, what information they provide, and/or how you think they will become a factor in the future.

Character analysis: pick two characters from the character list on the Cast of Characters worksheet for Part 2 and explain aspects about their character. What do they say to others to indicate the type of person they are? What is said about these characters by others? What are their dreams? What attitudes do they have about aspects of life as it is in the Golden Age? Explain the characters on a separate sheet of paper using specific quotations from Chapters 7-9. You should have at least six specific facts per character.
Read Chapter 10. Answer the journal prompt for Chapter 10 on the Journal Assignments page/discussion tab.
Homework for Friday: Read Chapters 11-13.
3rd Period - Thursday, April 8, 2010 Agenda:
Journal: Using the Chapter 10 journal you posted yesterday, read replies from other classmates and respond to four peers comments. Explain whether you agree or disagree with them on where we will "go" and WHY.
Research: you need six resources by tomorrow. Make sure you highlight information if you print out pages from the internet, or if you've copied the website onto a word document, make sure you also write notes on the important information you found.
